So How Did We Do 2019? ~ Up! Up! & Away! WilliamsWallStreet tops 26%!

Well lets check the mock portfolio to see exactly how well the companies I thought would do well and I would buy if I had means to do so and invest were performing for 2019. So year to date from January 2, 2019 thru December 31, 2019 here is how we did:

26% return on investment!!!!

Now ordinarily if you speak to any financial advisor or Hedge-fund Manager they are going to tell you that getting just a 9% return on your investment is a really big deal so 26% really stands out.

If you invested in the 30 stocks of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) you would be getting a 22% return on your investment. Yes the stock market had a stellar year.

What it means is that if you gave me $1.00 on January 1, 2019 and your average Investment Advisor $1.00 that as of the market close on December 31, 2019 and you asked for your money back I would be giving you $1.26 while the broker would be giving you $1.22 or less based on their choices.

So lets see how we did:

(Remember we own 2 shares of each stock)

                                       1/2/2019                       12/31/2019
Alibaba (Baba)               $161.74                          $212.25
Nvidia   (Nvda)               $156.25                          $235.58
ResMed (Rmd)               $108.46                          $154.97
Amazon (Amzn)             $1453.54                        $1800.00
Alison Engines (Alsn)    $42.90                            $48.32
T Rowe Price (Trow)      $106.45                          $121.84
EVO Transport. (Evoa)   $2.70                              $3.00
Wash Real Estate (Wre)  $27.80                            $29.18
Nike (Nke)                       $78.18                           $101.50
Unilever (Una-NL)          $47.58                           $51.23

Previous value:               $4,371.20         New:     $5,515.74      = 26%
Profit: $ 1144.54

Dow Jones                       $23,327.46        New:    $28538.44   = 22%

*Remember we dumped IQ it just was not performing and added EVO Transportation. Watch for future article where I am going to show you the cost to purchase the stock (how much did we invest vs. how much true profit) then we are going to take out the profit and book a trip to Hawaii, Paris or Puerto Rico.

Liars and Buyer's and Bear's oh My!!!!!!!!! The Dow drops another 1000 points!

VS.    If you have read my previous articles over the last couple of days I said I would be more worried if the DJIA corrected 2600 points in one day (10%)  well as of today that leaves us around 2,100 points off last week Wednesdays open.  I am still not in a panic and here is why: Bulls vs. Bears I'm looking at you right now stop talking to your dog and trying to make his head tilt to the side so you can do the Scooby Doo voice and say "Huh?" What are they? Why do people on Wall Street keep referring too all these Bull markets, all these Bear Markets?  Why do people on Wall Street go South most of the time, North every so often but never East and West? These are terms that Wall Street users identify certain periods of time.  A "Bull" market is one that is charging upward (like a Bull lifting its horns upwards no end in site) while a "Bear" market means things are on the way down (like a bear striking with its claws downward)

Homeless and Living with Covid 19 ~ My Personal Story

So I was diagnosed with Corona Virus on May 25th, 2020 at Martin Luther King Hospital in South Central Los Angeles. I arrived at the emergency room at 8:00am in the morning, after being triaged they suspected myself and two other gentlemen from the sober living recovery home where I was staying did indeed have the virus. So while we waited for the results which would take two hours I was scared my worst nightmare would come true I would have it, be homeless again and tossed out into the street.      The two hours was an excruciating long time I was petrified, scared and facing the overall fact this may be it I might die. Then I remembered I have been through this before.  The first time I went in for my AIDS test back in 1986 after having been all over Europe and with many a man, I was back in my hometown in Waukesha Wisconsin and was the first ever patient at Waukesha Memorial Hospital to have the AIDS test administered. The girl in the laboratory was my friend from high schoo
