How high is your IQ? - IQIYI

Image result for question mark

So everybody loves NetFlix right?  The US stock showing record gains?  Well then lets take a look at China's counter part IQIYI (IQ)   From it's initial IPO it is currently up 189% from it's first day of trading March 29, 2018.  It is actually experiencing a bit of a sell off which can be expected from people who are taking profits quickly and due to the overall Chinese market falling into a Bear market (which that Bear may be headed to the US soon).  Main factors are Trump's trade wars and the events yet to play themselves out over the next few months.

Now this stock if you choose to buy today is currently trading at $26.62 based on current futures and that this is a Saturday -.30 down from it's Friday close.  The support for this stock seems to be in the $27-30 dollar range and may actually sit there in that range for the next couple of months.  The reason I would call this a buy now is that I would want to get in on it before it begins to soar again like NIVIDA (NVDA) and Alibaba (BABA) have done in the past. If you want to wait awhile and see if it drops further go ahead but we are adding to our portfolio as of today.

OK why IQIYI and not Netflix?  After all Netflix is in over 150 countries while IQIYI is only in one China.  Well the amount of growth potential with China's population of 1.38 billion people and the newness of the offering and product to the Chinese market.

I also feel if the bear market continues in China and the economy begins to slow it is no different than what people here in the United States do during a recession they stay home and rent movies rather than go out to eat or spend large sums at the theater.

Financially the companies books look solid and I can't even predict the upward potential of the product they are offering but based on Netflix; it's popularity grew over time and by word of mouth, and now is a major player in where Americans get their entertainment.  There is no reason the same will not be true for IQIYI in China.  Their current valuation is around 23 Billion which is strong, no where near Netflix; but then Netflix has been around for a few years, if IQIYI eventually meets valuation of Netflix then we have a true winner!

Just Another Boring Bank Stock? ~ Not Oregon Bancorp

I just happened too be browsing around looking for something; I can't remember what when I saw this little gem of  stock Oregon Bancorp (ORBN) now as we speak for $33.00 a share.  So I want to add it to our mock portfolio. It has so many things going for it which makes it a perfect little add.  First off it is a banking stock which we don't have.  Yes there is T.Rowe Price which is more of a brokerage financial institution, while Oregon Bancorp is a bank.  Selling at $33.00 a share it is easily affordable for you, me and the average investor to buy.  Oregon Bancorp is listed on the Over the Counter Pink Sheets.  In the old days on the New York stock exchange these shares did not sell all that often and were listed on actual pink sheets of paper that's why they are still called "Pink Sheets"    Oregon Bancorp just had a blowout quarter with their financials it seems the company is really doing things right.  I looked over several charts by them first looking at
