So let's see where were we at? We decided to buy Nividia (NVDA) back at the end of August 2017 for $179 and some change? Remember, you don't? I suggest you start scrolling through old posts. Nividia (NVDA) closed today at $255.78 and if you have been reading along and following the stock you would see it has recently dropped to $224 and has now rebounded to $255.78 you were worried about this investment during that down time but I said hold; stay the course Nividia will pull through and she will continue to do so. This was a time to buy if you just started reading my blog if you hadn't gotten in at the $179 a share price.
Stop gloating William exactly how do you always do this?
You want my secret? Sometimes you have to go with a hunch, you research all you can about the company, get into something you know about; then listen to everything the analysts say and you either agree, or say hogwash, either way you decided. In this case as I originally stated in previous articles an Analyst over at Motley Fool turned me on to this stock. I did my research and was like she is going to get wings and fly! This was a no brainier gut instinct yes in my opinion, others bought Bitcoin how is that working out for you?
William how do you pick a stock? ~ Joshua B. Rio Rancho, NM
Well Joshua as I explained I do what I stated above but I make sure I am in a quiet room or have relaxing Zen type music on from YouTube and then I focus. I pull up Yahoo Finance, CNBC.com, and a few others and then I start searching especially the highs and lows of the day, hot stocks like Baidu and Apple and I search the stories of their competitors as well as the hot stories of the day, I look at what's going on in emerging markets like India, and China, I look at the over all economic indicators and their flow charts and see how the stock compares to them; does it go up and down with the market or is it inverse to the market? Most of all I wait until this little voice comes inside and says: "Buy Can All-Pet" If you remember "I Love Lucy" you just laughed...........You did admit in the comments below, you did! I'm having Edward Snowden stare at you through your computer so stop lying!............ anyways I have been on the fence about a new IPO that debuted in March 2018 that has recently hit some hard times Zscaler (ZS) currently trading at $27.85 almost at it's all time low, so I think read, look at chart and then remember when Facebook IPO'd rose sharply then tanked and then if you sat tight you did well in that investment.
I have the same feeling about Zscaler because of what they do in the "Cloud" based security field (Ha! you thought my Edward Snowden joke didn't make sense!) this company provides real time insights into security issues. They offer several product lines and I like the product. So I am going to have to go with my absolute gut feeling on this one, just like I have in the past since it is so new there is not much research we can look into but I am going to put my faith in this company that by this time next year you will be happy with this investment choice.
Again all of my information that I provide is solely for entertainment purposes and too also show you how we get through the human emotions of investing and learning to sit on an investment and not too react over every thing a President might say; or the latest natural disaster that cause Orange Juice prices to sky rocket. This blog is to provide information and help you have a positive and rewarding investment experience. However to date, (RMD) aside (I still have faith in it), I have not been wrong yet. (ZS) may change that, but in my little Dartboard gift to the world I highly doubt that! So I have to say yeas it would be a go to go long on Zscaler (ZS) with money you aren't afraid to lose and get your feet wet on the ground floor. Like I could have done with Amazon back in 1997.
If you are wondering about the picture above it is available for purchase in 8" by 10" glass for $65 a picture. This is a Butterfly taken in the Manzano Mountains of New Mexico on the 4th of July Trail on the Fourth of July, 2011. This is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.
