WRE - Washington Real Estate Investment Trust

Deciding on my first pick, was I going to go flashy or conservative with my pick so I will do both.  The stock I have loved forever and has over the history of Wall Street paid the most consecutive dividend every quarter.  So I pick Washington Real Estate Investment Trust:

WRE - Washington Real Estate Investment Trust
September 22, 2017 close=  $32.60
Year Range = $27.65-$33.96
Dividend= $1.20

WRE mainly invests in commercial properties around the Alexandria, Virginia and Washington D.C. metropolitan areas.  With government agencies alone they maintain a high occupancy in their buildings.  The company is also loved by hedge funds and institutional investors being 86% institutionally owned.  Love when the big boys agree with me!  The real reason to own WRE is for the dividend, especially if you can put this into a share builder or drip type brokerage account that will purchase additional shares for you with the dividend.  Buy WRE at any price, you are not buying it for the share price you are buying it for the dividend.  Over time the dividend will pay 4%-6% return on investment.  Not the most exciting stock in the world but its about making money over time.

I understand trying to purchase a stock that has a $32 price tag to get 100 shares is a big deal.  you want to purchase enough so that over time you make money and do not lose your profit on brokerage commissions, so if your broke but want more shares try this stock:

IRET - Investors Real Estate Trust
September 22, 2017 close = $5.81
Year Range = $5.60-$7.30
Dividend = $0.28

Same as above with WRE, buying for the dividend.  IRET is 55% institutional owned and invests in commercial properties and healthcare centers int he upper Midwest mainly North Dakota and Minnesota.

Just Another Boring Bank Stock? ~ Not Oregon Bancorp

  I just happened too be browsing around looking for something; I can't remember what when I saw this little gem of  stock Oregon Bancorp (ORBN) now as we speak for $33.00 a share.  So I want to add it to our mock portfolio. It has so many things going for it which makes it a perfect little add.  First off it is a banking stock which we don't have.  Yes there is T.Rowe Price which is more of a brokerage financial institution, while Oregon Bancorp is a bank.  Selling at $33.00 a share it is easily affordable for you, me and the average investor to buy.  Oregon Bancorp is listed on the Over the Counter Pink Sheets.  In the old days on the New York stock exchange these shares did not sell all that often and were listed on actual pink sheets of paper that's why they are still called "Pink Sheets"    Oregon Bancorp just had a blowout quarter with their financials it seems the company is really doing things right.  I looked over several charts by them first looking at
