Homeless and Living with Covid 19 ~ My Personal Story

So I was diagnosed with Corona Virus on May 25th, 2020 at Martin Luther King Hospital in South Central Los Angeles. I arrived at the emergency room at 8:00am in the morning, after being triaged they suspected myself and two other gentlemen from the sober living recovery home where I was staying did indeed have the virus. So while we waited for the results which would take two hours I was scared my worst nightmare would come true I would have it, be homeless again and tossed out into the street.
The two hours was an excruciating long time I was petrified, scared and facing the overall fact this may be it I might die. Then I remembered I have been through this before.  The first time I went in for my AIDS test back in 1986 after having been all over Europe and with many a man, I was back in my hometown in Waukesha Wisconsin and was the first ever patient at Waukesha Memorial Hospital to have the AIDS test administered. The girl in the laboratory was my friend from high school…

Surf to Success!! Our Portfolio up 20.6% Yes You Heard That Right!

This article is the main reason you do not panic. If you have a knowledgeable Financial Advisor it doesn't matter what the ups and downs and these huge swings in the Dow Jones, I mean the Market lost 1/3 of its value in a short period of time. From the beginning of the year the stock market is still down 15.7% from it's highs so even though it has recovered somewhat it is no where near where it used to be.

WILLIAM WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR US!

Karen from Boulder, Karen from Terre Haute and Karen from Fresno take a chill pill this blog is free sorry but you cannot speak to my Manager that is me.

Williams Wall Street Mock Portfolio is up by 20.6% since the beginning of the year (including the 3 stocks we bought March 1, 2020).  That's right!  20.6% I did it again, remember last time in 2009 we were in the worst financial crisis since the great depression and I actually won the Wall Street Journal Dartboard Contest by picking a stock Rangold Resources (now Barrick Gold) that fi…

Hold ~ DO NOT SELL! ~ DO NOT BUY ~ Here is Some Eye Candy

This is the shortest Williamswallstreet.com article ever. Do not sell any of your portfolio unless you need it to buy toilet paper. Do not buy until the market calms down. Looking at refinancing your house probably the best option. In the mean time enjoy this eye candy I found on Venice Beach California.

Hold Tight! ~ Do not sell ~ Do not buy!

Hold Tight let the marker stabilize do not sell. Do not worry about your 401K as a matter of fact max it out right now.  This is due to shear supply and demand for oil. Dow is down -1800 points this is why we invest for long periods of time not day to day.

Home Depot plus Tesla plus Norwegian Cruise Lines Spells Success

We are adding 3 new Stocks to the Portfolio today due to the recent plunge in the market from the Corona Virus. These stocks would be Tesla (TSLA) at $674.98, Home Depot (HD) at $220.00, and Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCLH) $37.80 all really good buys.  All 3 are going to have their earnings pitfalls for 2020 but over 2021-2025 they are going to be shining members of the portfolio. Now is the time to buy.  Sure they might fall a little bit more but the worst thing you can do as an investor is try to hit the absolute bottom to buy and try to wait for the absolute top to sell.
Tesla was not a stock I wanted to add to the portfolio cause it is wild, erratic, and goes up and down so dramatically but over time it (up until 4 days ago) had actually doubled in value in less than one year.   They are in a turf war in China with NIO (NIO) the electrical economical car made there.  It will be interesting to see if the Chinese economy especially after Corona will have a lot of room for Tesla.

Homeless But Not Exactly Living On The Street

So you can be homeless but actually have a roof over your head like I am in a new Sober Living that has accepted me for a 6 month stay after my 6 months of Recovery Bridge Housing expired. Thankfully there are additional programs to keep me off the street.
This place is located down on 119th Street & Main in Los Angeles near Watts in the Athens district of Los Angeles. I have been here one day and already someone has had their car broken into; to say it's unsafe is an understatement. The owner of the Sober Living runs four houses that house about 30 men per house. This place is a bridge for people with pending court cases a way to "Do Their Time" without actually being locked up. People who have really shown that they want a second chance and are working the NA program of addiction.
I like these men. My own personal story which contains PTSD is having a period of adjustment here but for the most part in a few days that will subside and I will be fine.
